Westport Volunteer EMS Honors Members During Annual Picnic
Members recognized with awards, pins, "for the hours they give to the Westport community."
Brian Crane was named “Emergency Medical Technician of the Year;” Michelle Brewster “Crew Chief of the Year;” Doug Morrison “Volunteer of the Year;” and Rachel Landau “Explorer of the Year,” during Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Services’ (WVEMS’) annual picnic and awards ceremony held July 23.
The awards recognize the “volunteers, and their families, for the hours they give to the Westport community.”
In addition special awards for service to the corps and to the community were given to members Isabel and Russ Blair; Diane and Pasquale Salvo; Jay Paretzky; and Mary-Jane Cross.

Also, anniversary pins were given for years of service to Norman Coltin (30 years); Mary-Jane Cross, Dorothy Harris (20 years); Donna Patchen (15 years); Carol Boas, David Bodach, Danielle Faul (10 years); Ruth Angrand, Yves Cantin, Maria Gabriel, Martha Gallace and Max Spitzer (five years).
