Woman Charged with 2012 Splatterbox Burglary

The suspect faces similar charges in other Connecticut and New York towns.

A New York woman was arrested last week in connection to a June 2012 burglary at SplatterBox, Westport Police said Friday.

Theresa Clinding, 45, of Hempstead, N.Y., was extradited from New York, where she was incarcerated for unrelated charges, for the burglary charges stemming from the Westport break-in.

Clinding was identified by witnesses who observed her flee SplatterBox in a vehicle that was registered to her, according to the police report. Police said Clindig faces similar charges in other Connecticut and New York municipalities.

She was held in lieu of a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 16.
