Campaign Notebook: Another Spokesperson Leaves McMahon

Senate

Linda McMahon (R): The campaign’s spokesperson resigned after a month on the job for unknown reasons, reports the Associated Press. The previous spokesperson reportedly left the campaign a month ago for family reasons.

Chris Murphy (D) has been buying ads to air during WWE Raw, where McMahon was once CEO.

Fourth District

Jim Himes (D) is a co-sponsor of a bipartisan bill that would prevent Congress from being paid if they don’t pass a budget. A constituent on Twitter thanked Himes for sponsoring the “No Budget, No Pay” Act, to which Himes replied, “You’re very welcome.”

Steve Obsitnik (R): An article about the nation’s rising $1.1 trillion in debt was shared on the candidate’s Facebook page. The Bloomberg article quoted the Congressional Budget Office as saying, “the budget outlook for 2013 and beyond will depend on what lawmakers do about tax-and-spending decisions known as the fiscal cliff.”
