Committee Seeking Input on Compo Beach Improvements Saturday

Westport residents to have say in framework of Compo Beach Master Plan.

The Compo Beach Site Improvement Committee will host a public meeting on the Compo Beach Master Plan next month and is seeking input from Westport residents.

A collaborative workgroup session will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at Bedford Middle School, in which community members, planners, landscape designers, architects, and stakeholders will craft a solution to the design challenge, according to Westport Parks & Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy.

Westport community members, stakeholders, and residents are invited to help establish the framework for the Compo Beach Master Plan. The meeting will focus on what elements should be included: how to meet the needs of various park users, and attempt to define the community’s priority items, according to McCarthy.

“We encourage members of the public to visit the Compo Beach Master Plan website,” said McCarthy. “This website will be a portal for public information regarding this important project, as well as provide an opportunity for public participation.”
