CT Gov. Malloy Endorsed by Teachers Union

Unions are wary that Foley will try to strip their collective bargaining rights.

Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Tom Foley appears to be public enemy #1 for unions as the American Federation of Teachers Connecticut endorsed Gov. Dannel P. Malloy for reelection this week, the New Haven Register and CTNewsJunkie report.

The union represents 29,000 teachers, healthcare workers, state employees and higher education members. Foley in the past has made some comments alluding to bringing Wisconsin to Connecticut, which some union members have taken as a threat regarding their collective bargaining rights, the Register reports.

Foley has told the Register that he would not look to reopen contracts with unions and he was opposed to layoffs.

What do you think of the union’s endorsement of Malloy? Will it influence your vote?

It is an interesting aspect of Progressive Collectivist dogma, do what I say not what I do! I can have free speech [funded by George Soros, Tom Steyer, Unions or EMILY’s List] you can’t have the same funded by the Koch brothers nor can you have it even if free people come together and form a Tea Party to educate their neighbors. I can tell you how I am going to indoctrinate your children via “common Core”, you can shut up sit down and do what your properly educated, “right thinking”, Progressive betters tell you to do. I can tell you that you MUST join a union and pay dues which they will give to the Democrat Party and you can shut up sit down and pay [OOPS didn’t SCOTUS just say NOT ALLOWED 9 - 0]. And if you don’t like it, you can leave [the town, the state or the country]. We Progressive Collectivist do not want you here. But take note, we are the party of diversity, tolerance, inclusion, and justice so you must leave, leave now but leave your money, chattel and property - that belongs to the Collective and we will properly Redistribute it as recompense for your past sins. Gotta love Progressive Collectivists, Democrat Party Extortionists and Union Thugs! Vote Mao Loy!

Mr. Buckley your post on another thread cued me to reread the above where I missed an important point. For the record, the Individual is Sovereign not the state [in any form] and certainly not the Marxist Collective. Individual Sovereignty is God given [enshrined by natural law if you prefer] as are the rights to life, liberty, property and self defense and the responsibility to care for yourself, your family, your community and to be charitable towards those in need. There is no “Right” to form or join a union. One’s ability or lack to do so is a function of Law not Natural Rights. Citizens pass laws, change laws, remove laws. Rights are inalienable. What is changeable under law is alienable [by definition] ergo there is no right to form or join a union rather it is an activity permitted / prohibited by law. But a nice try. Please have the last word before returning to your studies of Rules for Radicals or was it Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei, I’m done with this thread as I am done with Progressive Collectivists, Democrat Party Extortionists and Unions.
