Deer Management Public Hearing

The RTM Environment, Health & Human Services, and Public Protection Committees will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 PM in the Town Hall auditorium.

Agenda

To conduct a hearing in response to a petition to the RTM requesting that the Town of Westport establish a deer management program.

As announced at the Sept. 22 meeting, this hearing will begin with testimony from Westport electors. Electors must limit themselves to 3 minutes. Any elector who may need more than 3 minutes should request additional time of the meeting chair prior to the hearing.

Elector testimony will end by 9:30PM. At that time, invited public officials and representatives from bona fide organizations that not did not testify on Sept. 22 will begin speaking.  At present, the following non-electors have been invited:

Howard Kilpatrick, Senior Biologist, CT Dept. of Environmental Protection

Any additional invited outside speakers will be publicly noticed by the end of the day, Tuesday, Nov. 16.
