Joseloff: Storm Sandy Assistance Still Available for Westporters

The one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy recently came and went, but Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff reminded residents this week that help is still out there for those in need.

The Connecticut Department of Housing has opened Intake Centers in Fairfield and Norwalk for the purpose of accepting applications for Storm Sandy relief in affected areas.

“Having these centers close by with staff from the Connecticut Department of Housing will bring additional help to residents still struggling with the devastating effects of Storm Sandy,” Joseloff said.  “I am grateful to Governor Malloy and Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein for their personal support of this essential service.”

The Fairfield Intake Center, at 100 Mona Terrace, and the Norwalk Intake Center, at 100 Fairfield Ave., are available to assist residents in filling out and submitting their applications from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
