Letter: McGovern, Smith and Kleine for Westport Schools

Letter submitted in support of Westport Board of Education candidates.

Editor,

All Westporters – parents, students and taxpayers alike — have a vested interest in the Westport schools being the best they can be.  As a mom of three young children, I know how important it is to have the right people serve on the Board of Education to stand up for quality schools.  That’s why I am supporting Michael McGovern, Jeannie Smith and Karen Kleine for Westport’s Board of Education this November.

I have been fortunate to get to know Mike, Jeannie and Karen, and I am confident that together they will be a tremendous benefit to the Board of Education and our schools.  All three of these candidates are parents with children in the schools and they have a great combination of business, education, and community service experience.  McGovern, Smith and Kleine will be essential to Westport delivering strong, safe schools at a cost that taxpayers can afford.   By electing all three of these top-quality candidates, the Westport Board of Education will also have the clear, confident leadership our town expects and deserves.
