Reminder: Westport Taxes Due Next Week
Town reminding Westport residents that second quarter taxes are due Oct. 1.

Westport Tax Collector Peggy Klein has announced that the second quarter real estate taxes, personal property taxes, and sanitary sewer use and assessment charges are due Oct. 1, 2013 and will be subject to an 18 percent (1.5 percent/month) penalty charge if paid late. Minimum interest charge is $2.
Taxpayers have until Nov. 1, 2013 to pay taxes without penalty. Failure to receive a bill does not abate the charges or interest. Checks should be made payable to “Town of Westport” and mailed to: Tax Collector – Westport; P.O. Box 350; Westport, CT 06881.

Real estate, personal property, and motor vehicle taxes can be paid online by credit card, debit card or direct charge to your checking account. Sanitary sewer use and assessment bills cannot be paid on-line with a credit card, debit card or direct charge to your checking account. For further information, see this page.
Payments can also be made by visiting the Tax Collector’s Office in Room 109 at Town Hall. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily Monday thru Friday
