Westport Hiring Master Mechanic

The Westport Public Works Department is currently looking to fill an open Master Mechanic position.

The opening is a skilled position in the maintenance and repair of all types of Public Works construction and maintenance equipment. The applicant must lead, instruct and assist the Equipment Mechanic in all phases of their work, according to the town.

DPW is looking for an applicant with a minimum of six years experience as a journeyman truck mechanic and/or construction equipment mechanic. The new hire must have a complete knowledge and experience on gasoline and/or diesel engines, and all accessory components.

Master mechanic is a salary position paying $67,939, according to the town.
