As Westport's state representative, Jonathan Steinberg has been both visible and active, attending many town board and commission meetings and holding town-hall sessions on legislative issues. At the state level, he is on the Transportation and Aging Committees, both of which are vital for Westport's interests.
When I endorsed him two years ago, I said he was not an ideologue. I was right; As a member of the Moderates Caucus, he has allied himself with Connecticut's civil mainstream, where he is a voice for reason and responsibility.
Jonathan's first two years in the General Assembly have been marked by the same energy he showed in his seven years on the RTM, where I served with him. He was never a seat-warmer. From the get-go, Jonathan was thoughtfully involved in every RTM assignment he was given. Consecutively – and successfully -- he chaired the Information Technology, Library, and Health & Human Services Committees, besides serving three years as my Deputy Moderator.
Jonathan Steinberg deserves our continued support. Come join me and vote for him on November 6th.
