Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff announced that a school safety study requested by the Board of Education will be expanded to include Westport Town Hall.
“Town Hall is home to the Board of Education offices as well as town offices and it is entirely appropriate that the building be included,” he said.
Joseloff said Board of Education Chairman Elaine Whitney agreed to include Town Hall in its security review which was prompted by the December tragedy in Newtown.
The at its Jan. 2 meeting and the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) is expected to take up the request at its Feb. 5 meeting.
