Red, white and blue are popular colors, so finding a kite that is suitable for this occasion (or any patriotic event) will not be hard even for the casual flyer. It is safe to say that every kite enthusiast has purchased or made a red, white and blue kite in order to celebrate an American holiday or event! I have several including a stack of five rokkaku kites with red, white and blue tails. One of my favorites, however, is a 19 foot stars and stripes delta.
It’s always fun to fly kites with a theme, and Flag Day provides a perfect opportunity to join fellow kiters for an enjoyable day.
If you cannot make the Hammonasset event, you can join local kiters at
Sherwood Island State Park on Wednesdays at 5:00pm from now until the end of
September. Wind conditions will be reported on Twitter at USAKiters at 4:30pm.
Until then, it would be great to hear from you.
