Aging in America: A Community Conversation

CARING FOR AN AGING PARENT OR PARTNER

Author Janis Abrahms Spring, Ph.D. will discuss her timely book Life with Pop: Lessons on Caring for an Aging Parent or Partner and Wondering, “Who’s Going to Care for Me?’ on Tuesday, May 15, at 7:30PM at Temple Israel in Westport.  The event is offered free of charge and is sponsored by ITNCoastalCT and LINKS Connections for Independent Living.

The topic speaks to all of us who are caring for an aging parent or partner, or expect to be doing so in the future.  Dr. Spring will deal with sensitive questions, such as “How can we move toward forgiveness with an aging parent or partner before they die?” or “How do we balance another person’s needs against our own?”  Many care givers are wondering “Who’s going to care for me?”
