Childhood Nutrition: A Healthy Diet A Healthy Life

Join us for a most important and informative discussion on childhood nutrition and its impact on all of our children. Cindy Sherlock, a nurtrionist, will discuss:

  • the effects of a poor diet on children’s health now and their health as they mature into adults.
  • what parents can do to insure their children will avoid many of the known ill effects that are associated with a poor diet, such as obesity and diabetes.
  • and demonstrate proper food selection and preparation.
  • and respond to YOUR questions in this interactive session.

Cindy Sherlock holds a Master of Science in Nutrition & Food Studies from New York University.  As a dietitian in the Clinical Nutrition Department at Norwalk Hospital, she provides nutrition counseling to the outpatient population.

Cindy is also a classroom nutritionist at the Jefferson School in the collaborative effort of Norwalk Hospital, Pepperidge Farm and the Norwalk Health Department focusing on combating childhood obesity. In addition, she has been involved with the Weston Farmers Market where her duties included nutrition classes for children.
