Holiday Book Fair for Staples HS PTA

Holiday Book Fair at the Westport Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, December 7, all day.  Support Staples High School PTA.   Buy anything, even a latte, mention "Staples" to the cashier and Staples gets the credit. Proceeds will be used for the Wrecker Mini-Grants program, a source of funds for great ideas on curriculum- enhancing equipment or software that isn't covered in the school budget.   You're in for a special treat that evening, as local author Mary Lou Weisman and artist Al Jaffee will be discussing and signing her new book, "Al Jaffee's Mad Life", which details the extraordinary journey of this 89-year-old artist, who is famous for drawing the clever, fold-in puzzles found in every Mad Magazine.  Afterwards you'll be treated to music by members of the Staples Jazz Band.  Also enjoy displayed art pieces created by Staples art students.
