Mock Drunk Driving Trial Tonight at Staples High School

Don't miss Dr. David Bernstein's Jury Reach Program Tonight from 6-9pm in the SHS Auditorium, brought to you by the SHS Teen Awareness Group (TAG)).

Gain a real-life perspective of the legal and emotional consequences of driving while under the influence and learn many forensic and constitutional law lessons as well.   This scripted mock trial of a seventeen year old student accused of killing someone in a drunken driving accident will be tried by 2 licensed attorneys who will argue the case before an actual Connecticut Criminal Court Judge.   Members of Westport's Police and Fire Department will  participate as expert witnesses. Volunteer youth and adults will play the roles of the defendant and witnesses while high school students serve as the jury.
