Pastry Chef Paula Shoyer Comes To Westport
On Wednesday evening, January 25 Chabad of Westport will host Baking With The Chef an evening with Pastry Chef Paula Shoyer, author of The Kosher Baker; Over 160 Dairy Free Recipes from Traditional to Trendy. This evening is the first program in the series, The Jewish Culinary Experience.
Paula Shoyer owns and operates Paula’s Parisian Pastries Cooking School in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Paula has been perfecting her recipes for the past 15 years, after a job transfer relocated her family to Switzerland, where she discovered kosher caterers baking delicious desserts. She later moved to France and earned her degree from the Ritz Escoffier Ecole de Gastronomie. Paula set out to convert the traditional recipes into kosher, delicious parve desserts. Paula teaches French pastry classes at her school and around the country. Pastry Chef Shoyer is the editor of the popular cookbooks Kosher by Design Entertains and Kosher by Design, Kids in the Kitchen by Susie Fishbein. Paula has appeared on WGN, WUSA Washington, NBC Washington, San Diego Living and Martha Stewart Living Radio.
