WestportREADS Begins Jan. 6

Now in its seventh year, Westport Library's WestportREADS 2010 offers the community the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book.

This year's selection, Yoko Ogawa's award-winning novel The Housekeeper and the Professor, is a spare, enchanting tale of memory loss, what it means to live in the present, math, and the curious equations that can create a family.

On Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p.m., WestportREADS begins with Westporters Doug and Patti Brill sharing their first-hand experience of the ups and downs of memory loss. WestportREADS is funded by Jerry A. Tishman, and all programs are free and open to the public, and, unless otherwise noted, will be held in the Library's McManus Room.
