First Graders Tour Westport Library, Maker Space

Created as a venue for innovation and production, the Maker Space is the first of its kind at a library in Connecticut.

Saugatuck Elementary School first graders toured the Westport Library Tuesday morning.

Every September, first graders from the Westport public schools visit the Library, to get cards if they don’t have one, and to explore what’s available.

First grade teacher Brianne Shea is pictured with Children’s librarian Mary Beth Goodwin and with Library staff member Betty Tsang in the library's Maker Space.
