Two Pellet Guns Confiscated at Weston High School

Students associated with the guns have been suspended, the district says.

 

Police confiscated two pellet guns found in a high school student's vehicle which was parked outside Weston High School on Tuesday.

According to a press release from Weston Public Schools, "several students associated with this incident have already been identified and will be addressed by both the WPD and our school district in terms of a thorough investigation and possible consequences."

Those students received out-of-school suspensions. The case remains under investigation, pending further action, according to the release.

School activity resumed normally today, and all after-school events remain scheduled as planned.

This news comes roughly a month after the high school was locked down after school employees found a threatening note on the floor. That threat turned out to be unfounded, school officials said.
