Two Staples Students Awarded TEAM Westport Scholarships

TEAM Westport Committee Chair Harold Bailey earlier this month recognized Staples High School seniors whose leadership and personal involvement have most significantly advanced the understanding of diversity in the areas of race, ethnicity, religion and/or sexual orientation in the Staples community. 

The recipients are Russell Schindler, who will be attending the University of Michigan, and August Laska, who will be attending Middlebury College in Vermont. 

"This year, both awards were dedicated in memoriam to Nicholas Rudd and Susan Killian, former TEAM Westport committee members whose devotion and many contributions to TEAM Westport will always be appreciated," Bailey said.
