Westport Teacher Patricia Finnegan is New Assistant Principal at Dundee School

Finnegan to start new role Aug. 15

Patricia A. Finnegan, who has been teaching in the Westport Public Schools for 14 years, has been selected to serve as the assistant principal for The International School at Dundee (ISD) in Greenwich, effective Aug. 15.

“Ms. Finnegan impressed us with her understanding of the K-5 continuum of learning, her various leadership roles, and her experience in a number of the programs and strategies that we are focused on in the District and at ISD,” said Greenwich Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sidney A. Freund in a statement. “These include inquiry- based instruction, the workshop model, Response to Intervention, Everyday Math, and Spanish language instruction. We believe she will be an excellent match for the ISD community and look forward to welcoming her to Greenwich.”

Finnegan started in the Westport Public Schools in 1997 as a long- term substitute teaching at Saugatuck Elementary School.
