JoyRide's Shop & Spin

JoyRide Cycling Studio to Host Holiday “Shop & Spin,” Benefiting Opus for Person-to-Person

Burn off extra holiday party calories and then check off your holiday shopping list at the first annual JoyRide Cycling Studio “Shop & Spin” on Thursday, December 8 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. JoyRide has organized a special one-hour ride with one of their top cycling instructors, in addition to three hours of cocktails and boutique shopping with vendors from Fairfield County. You can spin and shop -- or just come to shop!  JoyRide will donate a portion of the proceeds to Opus for Person-to-Person.

Riders and shoppers will have the opportunity to check everything off their holiday list for every family member, friend and teacher:

  • Romina Alstodt will feature personalized gifts from RomiBelle
  • Sarina Galu will introduce her handmade Tuckadream pillows and dreamkeeper journals for children
  • Melissa Gladstone will sell one-of-a-kind jewelry from her line called Designs by Melissa
  • Susan Kantor will show custom menswear from J. Hilburn
  • Corri Neckritz will offer funky kids’ clothing from Groove
  • Aimee Rein will demonstrate revolutionary, anti-aging skincare and supplements from NuSkin
  • Elizabeth Robins will showcase her “jewelry with a soul purpose” called NoLeLu

The special cost for the ride is $30, and the shopping admission is free.  Spots fill up quickly, so riders should reserve their bikes early, online.  Shoppers are also welcome to browse without taking the indoor cycling class.  For more information and reservations, please visit JoyRide’s web site at joyridewestport.com.

About JoyRide Cycling Studio
Located in Westport’s newest health and wellness complex at 1200 Post Road East, JoyRide is Fairfield County’s only fitness boutique dedicated to indoor cycling.  JoyRide's exclusive training method combines core elements of Pilates with top-notch indoor cycling to maximize cardiovascular benefits and burn calories and fat.  Riders improve fitness, posture, and mental acuity with the help of specially trained JoyRide instructors who focus on fluidity and body biomechanics during each interval cycling session.

JoyRide classes are geared toward all ages, genders and fitness levels - from the seasoned athlete in top shape to someone who has just started or re-entered an exercise program.  While riders can go at their own pace, the group fitness environment makes the experience come alive.  Enthusiastic riders and instructors infuse an indoor cycling class with energy that takes the experience from just exercise to a fun, high voltage and more challenging pace.

Check out the class descriptions, schedule, instructor bios and blog at joyridewestport.com.
