School Vacation Specials at the Family Y

The Family Y offers a number of vacation programs during school breaks. For children 6 and older interested in gymnastics, there's the gymnastics camp, which runs each day this week from from noon to 4 p.m. and includes two hours of gymnastics, games, and one hour of free swim (children must be able to swim without a floatation device for the free swim.)

Open to both members and non-members, the program costs $40 a day or $165 for the whole week. All your child will need to bring is a snack, a drink and a bathing suit.

For younger children there's the Adventure Gym open play program, which is offered every day except Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. Designed for children 6 months to 5 years old, this program costs $10 a day and is open to members and non-members. All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

For parents looking to keep a child busy all day there’s the Vacation Special Program, which is geared toward first- through fifth-graders and runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open to members and non-members, the action-packed program includes games, gym time, swimming, day trips, movies and snacks. The cost is $80 a day.
