Five Things, Fourth of July: River City Slim Concert

Here are five things to know about Westport for Thursday, July 4:

1. The weather. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms and showers after 3 p.m., with fog in the forecast for the morning. Otherwise, expect party sunny skies with temperatures reaching a high near 86, and a low near 71 in the evening.

3. Red, White & Blue scavenger hunt. Spend the morning or afternoon hunting down red, white, and blue animals at the Beardsley Zoo. Details here.

4. Fireworks in Fairfield. Fireworks will be launched from a barge in Long Island Sound off the coast of Fairfield at around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, if you're interested in catching another display. For more information, click here

5. River City Slim and the Zydeco Dogs. Celebrate the United State's birth with the "exuberant" sounds of River City Slim and the Zydeco Dogs at Levitt Pavilion, 7 p.m.
