Friday, Aug. 9

Long Lots Elementary School Play Date: This is the first of four afternoon play dates scheduled this summer for incoming kindergarten students. Come play at Long Lots Elementary School from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys: Check out this Cajun music concert Friday night at Levitt Pavilion. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Dinosaur Revolution: Head to Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk Friday for the Dinosaur Revolution maze exhibit. As you try to find your way out of the maze, you discover new parts of the museum.

Maritime Cruise & Cuisine: Take a cruise around the Norwalk Islands and then have dinner Mama's Boy. The ship sets sail from Sheffield Island Dock.

 

Saturday, Aug. 10 

DJ Rekha: Rekha is among the first DJs to merge classic Bhangra and Bollywood sounds into the language of contemporary electronic dance music. See for yourself Saturday night at Levitt Pavilion.

Artist for a Day: Explore materials, techniques and get your creative juices going at the World Artist Network's Artist for a Day at Sherman Green in Fairfield. 

Easton Farm Tour: This free event in Easton includes tastings, hayrides, pony rides, cooking demonstrations, a petting zoo, pick-your-own, and more. The day starts at 10 a.m. at the Easton Firehouse Green.

 

Sunday, Aug. 11

Celebration, a free concert: Party band extraordinaire, Celebration features nine musicians with a smoking hot horn section and three sizzling vocalists (including local favorites Leigh Henry and Tracey Marble). With emphasis on the hits from the 70’s, not dancing is NOT an option. Check them out at Levitt Pavilion Sunday night.

Sol Driven Train: Sol Driven Train is one of the most diverse bands on the scene, working genres from country to funk and everything in between. See them at the Fairfield Theatre Company Sunday night.
