Staples High School is the only high school serving Westport. John Dodig serves as the principal.
The school day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. In the event of an early dismissal or emergency closing, the school day will end at 11:45 a.m.
Staples High School was originally built in 1884 on the land now occupied by Bedford Middle School. In 1958, Staples High School moved to its current location on North Avenue in order to respond to the expanding needs of the community. Today’s Staples includes an Olympic-size indoor pool and a radio station, WWPT-FM (90.3 FM).
