Tax You To Death State.
Tom Groth July 24, 2014 at 01:28 pm
I'm a Tax Lawyer in CT, and I have to say that while the complaints about the *level* of taxes in CTRead More are not unwarranted, the real problem is the fact that Dept of Revenue (DRS) treats small business owners like they are criminals. It's disgusting. Get a little bit behind on your taxes, and they are calling you a thief and arresting you. Don't mess with the tax man.

I'm willing to bet there's a lot more to this story. Sounds to me like the mother is a princessRead More bitch with a spoiled brat for a kid. I wouldn't want an out of control beast in my establishment either.
Patricia Pell July 24, 2014 at 01:37 pm
You are all making unnecessary assumptions.... Banning a 4 year old is crazy, an insulted woman overRead More reacted, Mom is a princess.... Sounds like they all need to get over it. The kid is only 4.

Well, Silentdoodoo, a penny borrowed is still a penny owed, and $121 million borrowed but not spentRead More is still $121 million owed, that we are also still paying interest on. I know you guys don't get it, and what is really a shame is that most of you don't have the ability to learn either, which is what is destroying our county!!!
Spiff July 24, 2014 at 09:32 am
Country.
David Parsons July 24, 2014 at 10:05 am
The vast majority of Connecticut debt was in place before Governor Malloy took office. As a matterRead More of fact, his tax increase resulted in LESS borrowing.

According to foodsafteynews.com the problem was with a filthy Wawona packing plant. After the plantRead More was cleaned there was no more Listeria present on any fruit. So why does this this article start with the word Organic?
EWCtzn July 24, 2014 at 12:45 am
Kara, the headline reads "Organic Fruit Sold Locally Recalled for Possible ListeriaRead More Contamination". It's clearly sensationalizing the two organic products.
Suzanne jefferis July 24, 2014 at 01:12 pm
The article should read 'Fruit Sold Locally'... It is misleading to the unaware who read no fartherRead More to suggest that organic fruit is the problem. All fruit, organic or those sprayed with unsafe pesticides should be washed. If gene spliced with herbicides and toxic pathogens as with GMO fruit, it is no longer a product of nature.

tom - I received your other message and I hear you but a small masochistic streak in me has meRead More coming back. This will be my last on this thread because there are no more points to make and no one listening who is open minded.
Mom of two July 24, 2014 at 09:39 am
Yes, run away boys! Thomas, I should have added that I don't dispute the information that youRead More quoted. I read it too and I have seen that info before. My point was just that that was not the new CDC study that you and your cohorts seem to think it is. It's just more false info being thrown around. And who am I Tom? Exactly what my handle says, a mom of two who is sick of this gun culture and wants to see what can be done to change it. That doesn't mean banning or confiscating all guns. It means enforcing the laws we have, strengthening the mental health system, background checks on every purchase no matter where you buy it from, stop glamorizing guns and gun violence in movies, tv and video games and yes I am for the assault weapons ban and limiting high magazine clips because I don't believe they are necessary for responsible gun owners to do what they need to do with them. The less guns and bullets in the world the better. I know you disagree, that's ok. Peace.

Giant Cheez-It crackers with salsa. OR remove one cookie from each of 2 Oreo double-stufs, feedRead More those to the dog, put the two remaining together to make one quadruple-stuf. OR Pringles with Lipton onion soup dip. OR a vanilla wafer topped with a banana slice, a smear of chunky peanut butter, and a squirt of Hershey's Special chocolate syrup.

I wouldn't call pizza junk food. unless you're getting it from dominos or some other chain. ButRead More anyway, the answer to this is easy. My favorite junk food is Chips Ahoy (and not those disgusting chewy ones) - dipped in milk, of course.

Christy Chi July 22, 2014 at 08:29 pm
Dairy Queen doesn't serve ice cream. It has to be classified by them as a frozen treat since itRead More doesn't meet the content requirements to be called ice cream.

In Woodbury it is the stress of the property values decreasing and the ever increasing of taxes.Read More People can not afford their taxes now. This years shell game, the First Selectman and the BOF Chair want everyone to believe that only 40% of the taxpayers taxes are going up. 40% increase in stress in those people's lives. Don't worry though the First Selectman and the BOF Chair have stated that no ones taxes are going up. ??? It's called talking out of both sides of your mouth. Tell the voters whatever they want to hear to get the budget passed. The voters have another chance to VOTE DOWN the proposed budget on the 23rd. Remember VOTE YES FOR HIGHER TAXES.

Hi everyone here. What Christine Coleman said is very true though i may not know her. I experiencedRead More it first hand also. It was this organization called consumer loan firm (C.L.f)that really helped me to pay my medical bills when i was in dare need of money because i am a widow. A friend of my also directed me to them. when i was about to do a major operation and i had no money at that time, they came to my rescue and in less than 48 hours, i got my loan. But to say the truth, i was nervous and scared at first because i have been scammed twice. But when i summoned up courage and follow their lending policies along with my friends advice, at the end i found myself smiling. If not for them, maybe i would have been dead by now. I have even taken another loan from them start my business after my recovery which i am also paying back now. My only advice now is that any body who is really in need of loan should contact them with their email via: consumerloanfirm@gmail.com and get a loan from them. Thanks
