Although there is no set opening date, the eco-friendly jewelry store is scheduled to open at 117 Post Road East within the next couple of months, according to a representative at the Alex & Ani corporate office in Rhode Island.
The store replaces The Avenue, which specialized in prints, maps and framing. The Avenue was in business in downtown Westport for more than a decade.
Alex & Ani is committed to a made-in-America standard. According to AlexandAni.com, the company is among the fastest growing retailers in the world.
Founded in 2004, Alex & Ani has more than 30 retail locations nationwide. The new store will neighbor businesses like Pinkberry and Urban Outfitters.
