Staples Varsity Cheerleading Takes 2nd at States

Staples High School Varsity Cheerleading finished in 2nd place this weekend at the CASCIAC State Cheerleading Championship in the Co-Ed Division.  This is the highest finish in the history of the Staples Cheer program and the team will now continue to the New England Regionals to compete against teams from MA, VT, NH and RI.  The two and a half minute routine is comprised of power tumbling, partner stunts and traditional cheer and dance.  The team finished 2nd at the FCIAC Competition two weeks earlier.

The program is supported by the upcoming Varsity Vogue Fashion Night at Mitchells on Friday March 28th at 7:00.  members of the Westport community are invited to join us for an evening of fashion, creative cuisine and terrific silent and live auctions.
