Westport Woman’s Club Annual Grants Awards Presentation

The Westport Woman’s Club presented their 2014 Community Service Grants to a wide variety of local nonprofit organizations at their Annual Awards Breakfast on Friday, May 16, 2014.
Under the leadership of Barbara Raffel, WWC Community Services Director, grant proposals were reviewed and evaluated by the WWC Community Services Committee at their monthly meetings between October and April. At the Committee’s recommendation, grants were presented to 27 local agencies that work with the communities of Westport, Weston, Norwalk, Wilton, Fairfield and Bridgeport.
Funding for these grants is obtained through fundraisers such as the Yankee Doodle Fair, various Special Events and proceeds from the Curio Cottage Thrift Shop.
