Port Jefferson Weekend Guide: Cruise on the Schooner "SoundWaters"

What: The schooner SoundWaters will return to Port Jefferson Harbor on Aug. 9, docking at the pier in for educational tours of the Long Island Sound at 2 p.m. on Friday and Sunday and evening sunset cruises at 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Price: $25/$35

Where/When: , Thursday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

What: Open to the public and is sponsored by the Recreation Department of the Village of Port Jefferson and the . Exhibit celebrating Long Island in art, featuring Painting, Prints, Photographs & Memoribilia.

Where/When: , Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

What: Enjoy these concerts as a part of the summer concerts series at Theatre Three. Thursday: Higher Ground - Stevie Wonder tribute. Friday: Franki Valli - Four Seasons tribute band. Saturday:  Souled Out - Temptations/4 Tops and Motown.

Where/When: , Thursday at 8 p.m.

What: A free concert hosted by Port Jefferson village. Bring your lawn chairs and refreshments and enjoy an evening performance free for the whole community. This week's band is Soul Be It (Funk and Soul).

What Three hours of unlimited bowling, lights and music.

Where/When: , Saturday at 9 a.m.

What: See . Volunteers welcome to sign up to learn the craft of wooden boat building.

What: The Maritime Explorium is a 501(c)3 non-profit institution which offers learning opportunities to children and families.

What: Vine 2 Wine will be pouring Monde Eau Chardonnay 2010 as well as Beckman Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2009.

Why Go: Homegrown Music Café is a monthly concert series featuring Long Island and Regional singer songwriters and bands. It is considered one of the finest, intimate venues in Suffolk County. All net proceeds go to the St. Gerard Majella parish outreach program, which feeds and clothes hundreds of Long Islanders.

What: Enjoy an evening of comedy at Theatre Three.
