Cornucopia Reception

RockwelL Art Gallery in Westport hosts a visual feast of works under $500 until January 6, 2012. Connecticut artists, Janine Brown, Ishita Bandyopadhyaya, Rosa Colon, Susan Frey, Francince Funk, Toby Michaels, Joe Fama, Julie Headland, Jill Gordon, Carolina Guimarey, Alissa Siegal, Margaret Tsirantonakis, Al Coyote Weiner, and Catherine Zappi among others will be have their work featured. A reception is scheduled for Friday November 18th from 5:30 to 7:30p.m. The event is free and open to the public.  The call for submissions brought well known favorites as well as new artists. Janine Brown, who maintains a studio in the textile Building in Bridgeport, brings her series of yummy Mad Mag pieces to the forum. Ishita Bandyopadhyaya introduces a group of mixed media paintings in a foliage motif indulgent with spirit.  Rosa Colon peppers the gallery with vibrant paintings. Joe Fama provides the view with his Plein Air landscape paintings. Susan Frey seasons the space with alluring visions. Francine Funke provides the floral compositions for the event. Carolina Guimarey adds contemporary mixed media tranquility to the feast. Toby Michaels includes dynamic modern mixed media ensembles. Margaret Tsirantonakis from LAA in Stamford, adds her unique take on still life with a festive color palette. Alissa Seigal serves Impressionistic delicacies. Al Coyote Weiner turns up the conversations with his edgy paintings. Catherine Zappi presents serene images of beachscapes.
