HeArt & Soul

The Westport Downtown Merchants Association presents Band Together #16 "HeArt and Soul" at the Westport Country Playhouse to benefit Save the Children. The event will showcase a variety of rock and soul classics performed by 20 of the area's top musicians with a guest performance by 2007 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ronnie Spector.

Ronnie Spector is the embodiment of the heart, soul and passion of 1960's female rock and roll. As front woman of the quintessential "girl group" The Ronettes, she recorded a  long string of classic pop hits including the Grammy Award winning "Walking in the Rain", "Do I Love You", "Baby I Love You," and the international Number One smash "Be My Baby." Saturday Night Live Band singer Christine Ohlman, and soul singers Gisele Jackson and Susan Didrichsen will also perform.

Band Together CT features a community of talented musicians who join with concerned citizens to raise money for local and national charities. Band Together CT shows have raised over $450,000 and have been honored by Governor R. Jodi Rell, The Connecticut General Assembly and United States Congress for their efforts.  They were voted "Best of the Gold Coast- Live Music" by Moffly Media, were featured in the New York Times and are also the recipient of the 2010 Red Cross "Heroes Award" in the Community Impact category.
