Staples Players present "WEST SIDE STORY"

Staples Players is proud to produce “West Side Story” in the mainstage theatre at Staples High School in Westport, CT. Performances will be at 7:30 pm on November 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th and at 2pm on November 13th. 

“West Side Story” is set on the streets of New York City in 1958, where two rival gangs, The Jets and The Sharks, (Montagues and Capulets) fight over their turf. Tony, who founded the Jets, sees Maria at a dance attended by both gangs and they fall in love at first sight. But, Maria’s older brother Bernardo is the leader of The Sharks, which, as in Romeo and Juliet foretells this love to end in tragedy. 

Tickets will be available for $10 for students and $15 for adults at Staplesplayers.com and will also be available at the door, as available, 30 minutes prior to the show. Cash or checks only accepted at the door.

The box office, located in the main lobby at Staples High School, 70 North Ave in Westport, will be open for walk-up sales on Nov 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10, 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
