The Town of Westport fireworks display will be held Friday, as is town tradition, with the celebration beginning at 5 p.m. at Compo Beach. The show begins at approximately 9: 15.
Ticketholders can enter the beach area starting at 5 p.m.; the beach will be closed to the public at 4. All tickets must be purchased in advance and can be purchased at the Westport Parks and Recreation office during business hours, and also at police headquarters any time. The cost is $30 per car.
The rain date is Tuesday, July 6.
