Ticket sales for the Westport Rotary’s annual Lobster Fest are underway, so be sure to purchase your tickets soon. “We invite all Westporter’s to join us at Compo Beach on September 22 to celebrate the end of summer.”, said Julia Broder, president of the Westport Rotary. The Lobster Fest will feature musical favorites by Ship of Fools, Beaver Beer, delicious steaks prepared by Texas Roadhouse, and lobsters cooked on site by local Rotarians. “We have received tremendous support in planning for this event and are looking forward to the beach party of the year!”, added Broder.
The crustacean celebration will be held from 3:00 until 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 22nd. Adult tickets are $40 each. Adult ticket holders can choose between 2 boiled lobsters or steak. Kids’ meals will also be available for children ages 3-12 at $10.00 each. Beer, wine, soda, and side dishes are included. Beach side parking will be available for ticket holders. The event will be held rain or shine and tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are currently available from Westport Rotary Club members, Joey’s by the Shore, and at westportrotary.org.
The Westport Rotary Club provides funds to local charities and community service organizations as well as to Rotary International’s successful campaign to eradicate polio worldwide. The new Lobster Fest will play an integral role in helping the club fund these local and worldwide initiatives.
