Cook Up Some Fun On Sept. 30 to Raise Money for Food Allergies, Breast Cancer, Food Banks

Divvies Bakery and Ann Karrick are coming together on Thursday, Sept.30th, to cook up some fun and raise money for the local food bank and breast cancer awareness. The event will be from 5-9 p.m. in the showroom at Gallery of Kitchens, 1027 Post Road East in Westport.

Lori Sandler, Founder of Divvies Bakery, will cook a recipe from her new cookbook during a Pampered Chef fundraiser show. All of the recipes in The Divvies Bakery Cookbook, like the products from the Divvies Bakery, have no nuts, no dairy, and no eggs; just delicious desserts for everyone, including those with allergies!

Sandler says "When Ann Karrick asked me if I'd be interested in a combined Divvies and Pampered Chef cooking show as a fundraiser, I immediately said yes! I've always enjoyed working with Ann as a guest on her talk shows, I enjoy cooking at home with Pampered Chef products, and as a breast cancer survivor I fully support this cause."

Television and radio host Ann Karrick of Westport will host the Pampered Chef show, and assist Sandler in the kitchen.

"Lori Sandler has been my guest on both television and radio shows, and I knew she had put her fan-favorite recipes together in a new cookbook," explained Karrick. "The idea of bringing together Divvies fans to meet Lori and see how to make delicious desserts everyone can share, while having a cooking show that would raise money for the local food bank and for breast cancer awareness, seemed like the perfect win-win-win event!" Karrick continued, "With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the increased demand on food banks as we near Thanksgiving, the timing could not be better. I thought Gallery of Kitchens would be willing to host such an event, so it was just a matter of working out schedules and details."
