Hanni El Khatib’s song “I Got a Thing” became one of Nike’s newest anthems. And in Westport it does appear everybody’s got a thing: be it Air Jordans, LeBron 9id or Nike Air Pegasus—teens and adults alike are counting down the days until NIKE opens its new 5,400-square-foot space at 66-69 Main Street. The athletic store will occupy the space formerly known as The Gap. According to Malkin Properties, which signed the lease, NIKE and its subsidiaries do business in 180 nations. The Beaverton, OR-based athletic company listed nearly $20 billion of annual revenues.
