Weston Aficionado Helps Plan Disney Vacations

A Weston woman recently launched Mousecalls Disney Vacation Planning.

Even if you didn't just win the Super Bowl, there's still a chance you're interested in escaping to Disney World.

Planning any kind of vacation can be cumbersome, so luckily for those who want to crack jokes with Mickey and Goofy, a new Weston-based business can help lighten your load.

Lyn Milliman—who describes herself as "a mom with a passion for all things Disney that has extensive Disney travel experience"—started her business, Mousecalls Disney Vacation Planning, earlier this month. Milliman is not a travel agent and doesn't get kickbacks for referring clients to certain companies. Instead, she uses her extensive Disney-related experience to help craft custom vacations her clients will enjoy.

"Let’s face it, you’re going to spend a lot of money on a Disney vacation," Milliman writes on her website. "Why not spend a little bit more to get some unbiased advice? You pay me a nominal fee for my services and I save you a lot in the way of planning, time, effort and aggravation. I guarantee it will be worth it—or your money back."

A veteran of at least 40 Disney-related trips, Milliman's been to Walt Disney World, Disneyland and California Adventure and Disneyland Paris. She's also been on 18 cruises, three of them Disney cruises.

"I could certainly consult on cruising if anyone was interested," she said.

Milliman described her professional history.

"I started out in event planning for the University of Gerogia, moved on to trade show exhibit sales in Atlanta and then on to technical recruiting in L.A.," Milliman told Patch. Next, she moved on to "working in a specialty stationery boutique in Delaware where I worked with people on their wedding invitations, birth announcements, party invitations, et cetera."

Milliman then moved on to being a mother after adopting two children from Vietnam.

"We've moved extensively as you can see," she said.

Milliman's yet to hit any Asian Disney parks, but this reporter won't be surprised when she does.

Though she plans to change her fee structure in the future, Milliman is now charging $65/hour for her services. She can be contacted at 203.216.9744, or through her website, on Facebook, on Twitter, or on Pinterest
