5 Things All About Westport: April 13

A panel on Lyme disease, a discussion on the federal deficit and a new play.

  • The Westport Community Theatre’s latest production, , continues this week with showings tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. The play is performed at 8 p.m. in Westport Town Hall.
  • As Westport considers measure to limit a perceived deer problem, a timely will be offered tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the Westport Public Library. According to the organizers, a “panel of medical and research professionals will address current thoughts on the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.”
  • The Westport Woman’s Club is putting on a today beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will show clothing by Brooks Brothers. Food, music, door prizes and favors are included in the ticket price. More details can be found here.
  • After a night of rain, more is expected throughout the day with a high of 53 degrees. Tonight will also bring more rain.
  • The federal deficit is a hot topic in Washington right now. Paul Volcker, the former chair of the Federal Reserve, to discuss what he called the most important issue in the upcoming 2012 elections.
