5 Things All About Westport: May 13

Friday the 13th in Westport shouldn't be too unlucky.

  • The Greens Farms Academy girls lacrosse game will be broadcast live on the online MSG Varsity Livecast today at 4:30 p.m. The team is facing off against Hamden Hall.
  • Check out the new "Local Voices" section on the front page of Westport Patch. It features local bloggers who write on Patch, and also links to some of the best websites around town. If you're interested in blogging on Patch, email the editor anthony.karge@patch.com.
  • The Westport League of Women Voters is having a on Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 20 Saugatuck Ave. Organizers say just a portion of the items on sale include "collectibles, housewares, dishes, lamps, objets d’art, mirrors, artwork, including signed originals, hobby needs, small furniture items, jewelry, and children’s books." All the proceeds benefit the nonprofit organization.
  • The Westport Public Library is showing the Oscar-winning "The King's Speech" Westport may not have a movie theater, but the library is the next best thing.
