Blotter: Woman Allegedly Drives Drunk with Children in Car

Police reports from April 8-11.

The following arrest information was provided by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

A Westport woman was accused of driving drunk on Tuesday evening after hitting two cars – while her two children were in the vehicle. According to police, Lana O’Brennan, 37, of Twin Circle Drive, hit a vehicle stopped at a traffic light on Main Street. O’Brennan failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Police said she hit a parked car prior to that accident. O’Brennan was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive right, evading responsibility and two counts of risk of injury to a child. Her bail was set at $500 and she’s scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 25.

Ronnie Robles, 20, of Bridgeport was arrested on April 11 at 7:06 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane. According to the report, Robles was in an accident on Kings Highway North. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Robles’ bail was set at $500 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 21.

Kenneth Palmieri, 44, of Hamden, was arrested on April 11 at 4:17 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the report, Palmieri was pulled over and a crack pipe was found in his car. His bail was set at $1,000 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 25.

Jessica Hwang, 37, of Post Road East, was arrested on April 11 at 8:50 p.m. on charges of first-degree criminal mischief and causing a public disturbance. According to the report, Hwang was involved in a domestic dispute and allegedly vandalized her husband’s vehicle with a hammer. Hwang’s bail was set at $5,000 and she’s scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 12.

Two Westport 20 year olds were arrested on April 9 at 8:44 a.m. on charges related to alcohol use. According to the police, a citizen reported that a vehicle was being driven erratically. Soon after, police found Alexander Dlinn, of Woods Grove, in Parker Harding Plaza with Ryan Fish-Brown, of Wedgewood Road, as a passenger. Dlinn failied field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence og alcohol and possession of alcohol by a minor.. Fish-Brown reportedly admitted to providing the alcohol and was charged with providing alcohol to minors and possession of alcohol by a minor. Both are scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 18. Dlinn’s bail was set at $500 and Fish-Brown was released on a promise to appear in court.

Telly Gordon, 36, of Bridgeport, was arrested on April 9 at 9:16 p.m. on a charge of first-degree failure to appear. According to the report, Gordon was wanted in Bridgeport for an unspecified crime. His bail was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court on April 18.

Matthew Mitchener, 28, of Bridgeport was arrested on April 10 at 2 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, evading responsibility and second-degree failure to appear. According to the report, Mitchener turned himself in on a warrant issued for a Marchc 2010 traffic accident. A computer check revealed he was also wanted in Greenwich for failing to appear in Court. Mitchener’s bail was set at $4,000 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 25 and state Superior Court in Stamford on April 20.
