This week kids can learn all about chess, have fun while creating mixed media projects and spend some time caring for animals.

Where/When: on Thurs., Feb. 17 from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Why Go: Children will learn about and help care for many of the Earthplace resident display animals - from grooming to cleaning, and feeding the animals. All under direct supervision of the Animal Care Team. Pre-registration required.
Pricing: $125 members, $150 non-members for all 4 sessions.
Where/When: , Thurs., Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: Take the family to the market and focus on local grown, healthy foods. Purchase organic vegetables, greenhouse greens, eggs, milk, indoor plants, raw food options and more.

Where/When: on Tues., Feb 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: This event offers four days of fun for kids in grade K-5. Kids will spend time creating mixed media projects that combine music and art including a chance to try painting, printmaking, drawing, and more. The event will also feature special guest, Mr. Bungles, who will perform magic, juggling and balloon sculpting for kids and will teach participants some tricks and balloon sculpting to take home.
Pricing: WHS Members: $45 per day – $180 for the full program Non-Members: $50 per day – $200 for the full program
Where/When: on Wed., Feb. 16 from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Why Go: Drop in to join the Kids Chess Club. All levels are welcome - only need to know the names of the pieces and the direction the move to play.
