Letter to the Editor: Thanks for Making jUNe Day Such a Success

This Letter to the Editor was submitted by Michaela MacColl and Catherine Amon, Co-Chairs June Day Committee; and Bill Hass, President, United Nations Association of Southwestern Connecticut and International Visitors Committee.

On June 25, Westport hosted the United Nations community for the 46th consecutive year. It was a gorgeous day, and our guests fell in love with our beautiful town. The International Visitors Committee and United Nations Association would like to thank the local vendors who donated food:

A & J Market, Angelina’s, Bagel Maven, Calise's Deli, Dunkin' Donuts, Fresh Market, Gold's Deli, Great Cakes, Joe’s Pizza, Joey’s by the Shore, John’s Best, Jordan’s Too, Little Kitchen, McDonald’s of Westport, Newman's Own, Red Barn, Roly Poly, Starbucks, Stew Leonard’s, Stiles, Stop and Shop, Tengda Asian Bistro, Trader Joe’s, Westport Pizzeria and the Wilton Village Market.

Our guests enjoyed tours with Earthplace, Westport Historical Society, Westport Arts Center, and (for the first time) Wakeman Town Farm.  The tours were a huge hit and showed off Westport’s amenities to an appreciative audience. We’d also like to thank the Chamber of Commerce, the Parks and Recreation Department and First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.
