How long have you lived in Westport?

Since 1992 with my wife, Nancy Clarke. We have 2 children.

Where is your favorite place to go in Westport?

We moved to Westport to be near the beach so Compo Beach is definitely a favorite place. I used to windsurf at the beach but now mostly rent hobie cats from Longshore Sailing School.  I also enjoy outdoor ice skating at the Rink at Longshore in the winter, especially on a clear sunny weekday when no one else is on the ice.

Favorite restaurant?

Manolo is a new favorite. Tuna tartare was delicious. The Striped Bass w/ tomatoes, olives, and capers was flavorful and fresh. The creamy truffle polenta is decadent.

Why Westport?

Westport's got a lot going on for a small town. From the facilities and pool at Longshore and the Compo Beach area you can't ask for much more from a recreational standpoint. I also like the fact that you can go 20 minutes north and go hiking in the woods.  But most of all, I enjoy living here because of the great friends we've made here over the years.
