Westport Weather Whiz Jacob Meisel reports.

Here's the latest from Jacob Meisel:

We have a pretty substantial storm moving in right now.  It is currently freezing outside, so any precipitation that does fall would be frozen.  Temperatures are expected to rise, but how quickly and how high is still unknown.  The storm should start as a mix of rain or snow, with maybe some sleet, and then turn over to all rain.  If it turns over to rain very quickly, then there will be no delay.  If it snows and sleets for a long time, there is a chance of a delay.  Tomorrow it will pour, with rainfall amount 1.5 to 2 inches, or even more.  It will then get cool tomorrow night, with a frost possible.  This would freeze up all the puddles from the rain, creating icy conditions Thursday morning.  It will then get very cold the next couple of days.  We are looking for our first possible accumulating snowfall Saturday night into Sunday, but that is still unknown as it is still very far away.
