Menorah Lighting & Parade

Chabad of Westport Community Menorah Lighting and Parade

On Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 5 PM, Chabad of Westport will open its doors to the community for a Menorah Lighting, Community Kid's Band, Cardonne the Magician and latkes and donuts.  Following the festivities, a parade of cars with menorahs will proceed through the streets of Westport, Weston and Wilton in joyous celebration of Chanukah. "We are excited to add this to the many ways we have brought Chanukah to our community. The parade underscores one of the messages of Chanukah, to proudly and openly celebrate the holiday and the miracles it represents. We are fortunate to live in a country that embraces these ideals of freedom, religious tolerance and embracing one's heritage and spiritual path", said  Rabbi Yehuda Kantor.

The Menorah lighting and festivities will take place at Chabad's new location, 79 Newtown Turnpike in Westport. For more information, please call the office at 203.226.8584 or visit us on the web chabadofwestport.com.
