Westport Voters Invited to Oktoberfest Meet the Candidates Event on Sunday, October 14

Westporters invited to meet Republican candidates including Linda McMahon and Steve Obsitnik at an Oktoberfest event at the Westport Woman's Club on Oct. 14 from 3-6 p.m.

Westport residents will have a unique opportunity on Sunday, October 14 to meet Republican candidates for office at a special Westport Republican candidate meet and greet. Voters are invited to attend the Oktoberfest event featuring authentic German food, German beer on tap, wine and soft drinks, and live music.  Among the candidates expected to attend are: U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon; candidate for U.S. Congress Steve Obsitnik; State Senator Toni Boucher; State Senator John McKinney; candidate for State Representative Stephen Rubin; and State Representative Gail Lavielle.

 “This is a terrific forum where the candidates and the community can join together for some fun while discussing the issues in advance of this important election,” noted Desiree Soli, Chairwoman of the Westport Republican Town Committee.  “We look forward to another enjoyable gathering where Westporters and our candidates can take part in an open exchange of ideas.”    

The Oktoberfest Candidate Meet and Greet event, hosted by the Westport Republican Town Committee, will be held Sunday, October 14 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Westport Woman’s Club, 44 Imperial Avenue, Westport.   The event cost is $40.
